Just a short post today, dear friends, as I am about to head off on holiday with Mrs MYBP. For my sins, I'm being dragged up and down mountainsides in the beautiful Lake District and any of you who have met me will appreciate that is no easy task for a man of my size and advanced age. Two weeks have elapsed since my last post -I have to admit to being thrown a curve ball by all the recent bank holidays and my posting/working schedule has all "gang agley" as someone famous once wrote. Robert Burns I think it was but I wouldn't put my house on it.
As a result I never managed to put up my World Championship Snooker analysis. The 2 bets I did mention (Dott and Alan) performed ok, both reaching the quarter finals without either of them …

Scottish National Review and the World Snooker Championship
The Scottish Grand National this year turned out to be quite a frustrating race for me.
I spent a lot of time last week looking at it but was never convinced I had got to the bottom of the race. In the end I had narrowed it down to 7 of the 30 runners - and would you believe that 7 contained the first 4 home! Seems great you might think but really wasn't as wonderful as it sounds. My main bet for the race was Gone to Lunch at 40/1. We certainly got the value with that price as it went off at 14/…

All Over for Another Year
The excitement is over for another year and this weeks feels like a bit of an anticlimax. Before we know it the 2 year olds will be out again.
It was another great festival in which we saw some exceptionally high class performances and a fair share of disappointing ones.
