Welsh National Strategy in Disarray

I had hoped today to give you my detailed analysis and reasons for backing Summery Justice for the Welsh National at Chepstow tomorrow. I had a very handsome antepost ticket at 25/1 on this horse and now my entire strategy has been thrown into disarray  by his withdrawal due to injury this morning!

I personally felt this one should be no bigger than 8/1 and that he represented a healthy dose of value at the 20/1 available just yesterday.

So, I won’t bother with my carefully reasoned analysis. I will just give you my 3 against the field  – I have small antepost wagers on all of these – and though I think most of the value has now gone – here they are for what it’s worth.

Synchronised –  The sustained gamble on this one has made him a strong favourite and he has connections to be feared. I managed to get a bit of the 10/1 available in early December but I certainly won’t be topping up at 4/1. The most likely winner but no value at that price.

Ballyfitz – Some interesting money for this old boy this afternoon and I have had a small each way saver at 20/1. 11 year olds don’t have a great record in this race but he has an each way chance.  I think he could be shorter than 20/1 come tomorrow afternoon.

Silver by Nature – Probably has a bit too much weight to lug around here but I wouldn’t write him off entirely.

There you have it. I haven’t got too heavily involved in this with the withdrawal of Summery Justice and I wouldn’t advise you to either.

Betting School

In my ongoing efforts to steer readers towards genuine, time-tested betting websites I thought I’d point you towards  one of my favourites (and one I personally have been a member of for years). In an industry full of fly by nights, Betting School has been a constant source of decent information and detailed betting know-how for nearly 6 years. I have known Darren Power (head honcho and founder) for a number of years and have always found him to be helpful, friendly, approachable – and best of all – exceptionally shrewd and knowledgeable.

It’s one of the most respected betting services out there and the members area is full of enough systems, tips, analysis and reviews to keep the average horse racing enthusiast absorbed for weeks on end. Members are sent a monthly Insiders News Report chock full of betting product reviews and articles written by some of the most respected names in the industry. They are currently featuring a betting challenge to turn a small betting bank into more than £905,000 in the next 10 years.

If you are serious about putting your betting on a professional footing and learning the strategies and methods of the winning few then you should be a member over there.

Even if  it’s not for you, register for the newsletter because they send out a lot of free content and information.

Apologies for the brief post today – I had written more than 1000 words telling you why Summery Justice was going to win the Welsh National tomorrow – and I haven’t had an opportunity to write a replacement piece!

Have a great weekend everybody

  1. Hi Kieran just been having a read and enjoyed.Considering the potential for racing forums /sites on line so far i have found few that appeal.

If you can meet good and like minded people then sharing hard earned knowledge and experiance can be a very productive exercise.

Even mutual commiserations (i to was on Summery justice at 25/1).Best wishes to you and all your readers in your quest to solve the great puzzle this year (and mine).
